Ershig Properties, Inc.

History and General Business

Ershig Properties, Inc. is a regional commercial real estate development and management company. The Company was formed in 1979 as a Kentucky C-Corporation with Don R. Ershig as the sole stockholder. During the first decade of operations the Company focused its activities on developing and selling commercial real estate. The Company now owns and manages 25 retail shopping centers plus numerous and diversified free standing commercial developments in the southeast region. The majority of the Company's current growth is from acquiring second generation shopping centers mainly from institutional clients. Within the last few years various Limited Liability Companies have been formed, that are now used to acquire and own investment properties. All properties are managed from the company home office except where on site managers and maintenance personnel are required.

Our corporate offices are located in a unique private six acre setting that was home to the original golf and country club in the community of Henderson, KY.

Our People

Don R. Ershig, founder and President.

A 1970 University of Kentucky Commerce graduate commenced his professional career with the KY Department of Transportation as a right-of-way appraiser. After a short employment term with Wm. Frank Newman & Associates Real Estate Appraisers, he was an original partner of Bartlett Wright Cox and Ershig Appraisal Company until the formation of Ershig Properties, Inc. Don Ershig has a KY real estate and auctioneers license and successfully attained the S.R.A. designation with the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He is also active with the International Council of Shopping Centers.

David J. Nelson, CSM, Vice President of Operations.

David is a graduate of University of Southern Illinois he spent 12 years with the General Growth Properties in various communities and was Mall Manager for their successful 1.2 million square foot Eastland Mall in Evansville, Indiana until joining Ershig Properties in 1998.

Jon D. Miller, Controller.

A graduate of Murray State University with a degree in accounting. He initially worked for H & R Block Company and has served Ershig Properties as the principal accountant since 1996.

Wm. Bosecker, CPA.

Formerly associated as a tax manager with Olive & Company, CPAs. In addition to his public accounting experience he was head of the Anheuser-Bush Tax Department in St. Louis. Mr. Bosecker joined the Company in August, 2002 as the managing CPA and tax administrator for all corporate and LLC affiliates of the Ershig Group and related entities.

Other divisions of the company are divided into leasing and construction management. The Company oversees a total employment of 350 people through its various entities.

Recent Business Activities

Growth for the forthcoming 3-5 years is expected to come from continued acquisitions of second generation shopping centers, enclosed county seat malls and related free standing commercial developments. Ershig Properties' entities are also expected to develop and lease new restaurant units as created by Summit Food Services, Inc. The total gross leaseable area owned and managed by the Company currently represents approximately 3 million square feet.
